Sarah Polley

Sarah Polley was born in Toronto. She has appeared in films by such directors as Isabel Coixet, David Cronenberg, Atom Egoyan, Terry Gilliam, Hal Hartley, Wim Wenders and Michael Winterbottom. Her feature films as director are Away From Her which received an Academy Award® nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay, andTake This Waltz. Stories We Tell is her first documentary.

Eleanor Wachtel

Eleanor Wachtel is the host and co-founder of CBC Radio's Writers & Company, now in its 26th season. She also co-founded and hosts Wachtel on the Arts on IDEAS. Her most recent books are Random Illuminations, which won the Independent Publisher Book Award, and The Best of Writers & Company. Wachtel has received many honours for her contributions to Canadian cultural life including eight honorary degrees and Officer of the Order of Canada.
